Kaju Katli, also known as Kaju Barfi, is a popular Indian sweet made from cashew nuts. It is a delectable dessert commonly served during festivals, celebrations, and special occasions in India. The name "Kaju Katli" is derived from two components: "Kaju" refers to cashew nuts, and "Katli" means thin slices.
To make Kaju Katli, cashew nuts are ground into a fine powder, and then mixed with sugar and water and ghee to create a dough. This dough is cooked on low heat until it thickens and reaches a fudge-like consistency. It is then spread and flattened into a thin layer, cut into diamond-shaped pieces, and garnished with edible silver foil or chopped nuts for decoration.
