Ven Pongal

  • 1 cup rice

  • 2 tablespoon Daily ghee

  • 1 pinches asafoetida

  • 1 handful curry leaves

  • 5 cashews

  • water as required

  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

  • 2 teaspoon ginger paste

  • 1 cup moong dal

  • salt as required
